OUR STORY
Family-Owned Business
We began our beekeeping journey as hobbyists in April of 2018. My son was 4 years old and it was a new hobby we could enjoy together. The bees fascinated us and the honey was delicious. It wasn't long before Bee the Light became a side business for our family.

ABOUT BEE THE LIGHT APIARY
Our apiary has 3 species of honey bees -Carniolan, Italian, and Saskatraz. Our hives stay on our family farm year round. The bees can fly up to five miles away but usually prefer to stay within a mile or two of home.
There is a broad range nectar sources in our area. Many of them changing with the season. The bees have access to many trees including linden, fruit, locust, crab apple, Russian olive and other native trees. The desert provides them with rabbitbrush, sage, wild mustards, arrowhead, balsamroot, sunflowers, and blanket flowers. The apiary has its own pollination patch where the bees visit milkweed, six varieties of clover, Russian sage, bee balm, mint, cone flowers, and many more.

100% PURE, RAW, LOCAL HONEY
Raw honey provides a variety of nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. It is a good source of fructose, glucose, and trace amounts of vitamins B, C, and K. Raw honey contains polyphenols and flavonoids, which act as antioxidants, protecting cells from damage caused by free radicals.
